Wood to Match You

I have many different woods to choose from. Select pine is the most inexpensive option and results in a great looking display. Other woods may result in an upcharge and subject to availability. All woods are hand finished with Danish Oil to give the wood a rich look that is non-reflective.

Please note that wood may vary greatly in appearance in both color and texture.


Select grade Radiata Pine boards are the most popular choice. They are lightweight, free of knots and other characteristics associated with lower grades. These boards are the best choice for a strong, attractive, and inexpensive display.

























Light Red Philippine Mahogany's (shorea) color varies from light reddish brown to tan brown. It is relatively hard, very lustrous, and durable. This wood can have a strong bi-tone appearance.











































Aspen boards are white to light brown. The grain is very subtle and makes for a very simple background.



























Red Oak varies in color from white sapwood to the brown and dark red ranges of the heartwood. It is a dimensionally stable wood and is often straight-grained and open-pored, making it the species of choice for wood working. Its open grain and tough properties take the abuse of dents and scratches with little to no noticeable damage. Red oak is a dense, heavy wood and may require additional mounting hardware for larger displays.























Poplar boards have a full spectrum of color variations, ranging from a cream sapwood to brown, as well as a purple heartwood. It is sometimes streaked with purple and may vary from a tight grain to an open grain. Poplar's variations give it a lot of character.























Maple boards vary in color from white sapwood to the heartwood ranging from light brown to a very dark brown. It has an attractive grain pattern to give your displays character. Its density makes it easy to withstand denting.
